Jarmel Kizel's Structural and MEP Studios Provide Professional Services for Savona Tiles' New Showroom Green Brook, NJ

Jarmel Kizel Architects and Engineers, Inc., a full-service architecture and engineering firm based in Livingston, New Jersey, is providing structural and mechanical, electrical, plumbing (MEP) and fire protection engineering design services for a new showroom for Savona Tiles at 361 Route 22 East, in Green Brook, NJ.

"We are pleased to be working with Savona Tile on the renovation of their new showroom, and providing the company with the necessary design services required to open the new showroom for its customers," said Richard Jarmel, PE, and principal with Jarmel Kizel. The tile showroom will be housed in an existing 5,000-square-foot single-story building is approximately 5,000 square feet, with a full walk-out basement. Jarmel Kizel's structural and MEP studios are providing professional services for the renovation of the space including the design of new rooftop HVAC equipment that will provide heating and cooling for the entire showroom, as well as electrical design for all new lighting throughout the space. Plumbing design will include services for new bathrooms, and fire protection design will be provided for new sprinklers and fire alarms throughout the building.

In addition to MEP and fire protection design, Jarmel Kizel's structural studio is designing support and steel joist reinforcing as required for the new rooftop mechanical equipment, modifications to the existing masonry wall openings, which will include lintel designs for decreasing large existing openings and new openings in the exterior walls.

Vladimir Ayzenberg, director of MEP engineering, and Ronald A. Brokenshire, PE, director of structural engineering, are leading this assignment on behalf of Jarmel Kizel. Architectural services were previously provided by Kunzig, Architecture & Lighting, LLC.
