Jarmel Kizel Architects and Engineers Awards Fourth year Student, Anton Mazyrko, with NJIT Scholarship

LIVINGSTON, N.J. (October 23, 2012) — Jarmel Kizel Architects and Engineers, Inc. recently awarded a scholarship to Anton Mazyrko, a fourth year student at NJIT’s College of Architecture and Design.  Mazyrko is majoring in Architecture at the school and resides in Wayne, New Jersey. 

Matthew B. Jarmel, AIA, MBA, principal of Jarmel Kizel, NJIT Alumnus and Chair of the Dean’s Executive Council, presented Anton with the scholarship at the 30^th Annual Student Scholarship awards ceremony, which was held at NJIT.  “My partners and I at Jarmel Kizel are honored to recognize students that are committed to their studies and dedicated to becoming future leaders in our profession,” he stated.  “In choosing Anton for this scholarship, we learned of his love for contemporary architecture, his keen problem solving abilities, and his desire to be a part of an architectural design studio.  We recognize Anton as a talented and creative scholar, and we are pleased to present him with this important recognition that will help him complete his education at NJIT.”

In 2001, Jarmel Kizel endowed NJIT with a $25,000 gift, which was invested in the university’s endowment and utilized to award a scholarship each year to a fourth or fifth year student for demonstrating academic achievement, design skill and leadership ability while completing the undergraduate program at NJIT’s New Jersey School of Architecture.  The scholarship is awarded on academic excellence, community involvement, student leadership and design innovation.

Mazyrko participates in an ice hockey sports team, in addition to leading architecture studio groups at NJIT.
