Jarmel Kizel Designs 550 kW Rooftop Solar Array for Certified Pure Energy

Livingston, N.J. (April 11, 2011)—Jarmel Kizel Architects and Engineers, Inc., a full-service architecture and engineering firm based in Livingston, New Jersey, is designing a 550 kilowatt (kW) rooftop solar photovoltaic (PV) array at 611 Industrial Way, in Eatontown, New Jersey. Certified Pure Energy, LLC, a solar solutions provider, is leading this assignment, providing the building owner with financing options and product procurement solutions for the project.

The proposed solar PV system for the 130,000-square-foot flex building is projected to reduce the building’s dependency on the utility grid by over 20 percent. In addition to the power generation—approximately 632,000 kilowatt hours (kWh)—the system will create approximately 632 Solar Renewable Energy Certificates (SRECs) on an annual basis. SRECs are derivatives that are sold as commodities.

Jerry Shulman, the managing partner of 611 Industrial Way, LLC and owner of the fully occupied building says, “I am excited to get this project off the ground and start producing clean and efficient solar power.”

611 Industrial Way is occupied by two anchor tenants, which utilize the building for manufacturing and office space, respectively. The proposed solar PV system for 611 Industrial Way will be cash flow positive on day one of operations and will significantly improve the building’s income
