Jarmel Kizel Architects and Engineers Remains True to Its Roots
LIVINGSTON, N.J. (March 5, 2010)—Jarmel Kizel Architects and Engineers, Inc., one of New Jersey’s most recognized architecture and engineering firms, has completed four interior fit-up projects totaling over 250,000 square feet for significant corporate tenants throughout New Jersey. In the first quarter of 2010 alone, Jarmel Kizel completed new interior designs and assisted the following clients with the relocation to their new homes: inVentiv Health, Financial Executives International (FEI), Doosan Corporation and Solix.
“Companies are leasing new space in New Jersey, and putting thought into the interior designs of their offices. The completion of these fit-up assignments, coupled with increased proposal generation in our office, gives us a sense that there is a slight uptick in the real estate marketplace,” said Matthew B. Jarmel, AIA, MBA, principal of Jarmel Kizel Architects and Engineers. “The uncertainty in the economy is not over, but this activity is creating a positive feeling amongst our peers in the industry. We look forward to a more aggressive real estate market in New Jersey as 2010 progresses.”
Jarmel Kizel provided all of the designs—architecture, interior design and engineering—along with furniture and finishes procurements for these interior fit-ups, which included:
A 154,035-square-foot fit-up for inVentiv Health, a leading provider of commercialization services to the global pharmaceutical and healthcare industries. The company relocated and consolidated several of its corporate offices into a new facility at 500 Atrium Drive in the Atrium Corporate Park in Somerset, New Jersey.
A 56,000-square-foot fit-up for Solix, a process outsourcing firm focusing on government and commercial markets. The company relocated two offices in Whippany to 30 Lanidex, which now serves as the company’s New Jersey headquarters.
A 30,000-square-foot fit-up for Doosan Corporation, a Korean engineering firm. The company utilizes this new space at 5 Paragon Drive in Montvale, New Jersey, as its U.S. headquarters.
A 16,500-square-foot fit-up for Financial Executives International (FEI), the association of choice for CFOs and other senior-level finance executives. The company relocated from Florham Park to Headquarters Plaza in Morristown, New Jersey.
“Our firm was founded in 1975 as an interior design firm, and while we have expanded our service platform over the years to include a myriad of industries like higher education, child development, retail, multifamily housing and healthcare, we remain true to our roots as a committed interior design firm,” added Jarmel. “While our expertise in tenant fit-up design is a large part of our business, I feel that our accomplishments in other business sectors, in both architecture and engineering services, are what really helps our business in today’s economy.”
