Jarmel Kizel Hired To Preform Work For French Street Redevelopment Project

LIVINGSTON, NJ, OCT. 13, 2008 —Jarmel Kizel Architects & Engineers, Inc. has completed work on two of the three phases of the French Street Redevelopment Project for AST Development in New Brunswick, New Jersey.

Jarmel Kizel provided architectural and engineering design services, including structural and MEP work, for two mixed-use towers and a parking garage on French Street in New Brunswick, New Jersey. The, city-owned parking garage stands at thirteen-stories in height and accommodates 875 vehicles. The first mixed-use tower, a ten-story, 125,000-square-foot building , was recently leased by Robert Wood Johnson to serve as a medical office building. Jarmel Kizel has participated in the interior fit up design of the first three floors of the building for University Radiology Group providing structural engineering services..

Since conception, Jarmel Kizel has served as the lead architect, providing design direction to the team, as well as being closely involved in the original planning concept and master plan. Jarmel Kizel is the architect for the French Street tower and engineer for both towers.

Aside from The French Street Redevelopment Project, Jarmel Kizel has worked with AST Development for the design of a 100,000-square-foot office space, an 11,000-square-foot retail building, a 14,000-square-foot professional retail space and a 300 car parking garage in Plainfield, New Jersey. The projects feature unique neo-classical elements such as precast concrete panels that are colored to match the existing contextual make up of the historic neighborhood. Jarmel Kizel was also responsible for the interior fit-up of all these structures, which include state and county offices as well as retail tenants.
