Jarmel Kizel Hired To Preform Work On Gothom Diner Roll Out Project

LIVINGSTON, N.J., AUGUST 20, 2008 — Jarmel Kizel Architects & Engineers, Inc. was hired to perform architectural and engineering services, as well as help with branding, for the Gotham Diner. Jarmel Kizel designed a renovation and conversion to the existing 6,000 square-foot restaurant, formerly known as the Good Times Diner, on Route 4 in Fair Lawn, New Jersey on behalf of Gotham Diner.

“We have significant experience with restaurant and roll out projects of this type,” said Matthew B. Jarmel, AIA, MBA, NCARB, principal of Jarmel Kizel Architects & Engineers, Inc. “This is Gotham’s second restaurant under this brand name and we look forward to helping them develop the brand on future projects.”

Jarmel Kizel was specifically hired for their experience with branding and roll out work.
The project was treated as the development of a prototype for roll out. Jarmel Kizel has experience on other retail roll out projects and has completed numerous assignments on behalf of The Learning Experience and T.G.I. Friday’s. The diner’s branding utilizes a mixture of art deco and New York City 1930’s themes, along with images from superhero comic books, murals and advertisements from the 1930’s.

This is the second of its type as the original Gotham Diner is located in Ridgefield, New Jersey. The roll out project is the first of many to come.
