JERSEY CITY, N.J. (AUGUST 13, 2007) — Jarmel Kizel Architects & Engineers, Inc. recently completed the design for a 20,500-square-foot addition at Jersey City Charter School. When the construction is completed, the new addition will nearly double the size of the existing school. Irwin Kizel, AIA, PP, principal, was the project principal.
For this assignment, Jarmel Kizel provided architecture and engineering services including MEP, civil and structural design. The new building will include additional classrooms, a gym, a cafeteria and administrative space.
“Our expertise in educational facilities enabled our firm to design an expansion for the Jersey City Charter School that reflected the state-of-the-art image and classic architecture the school sought,” said Kizel. “We are pleased to have been involved in such a rewarding and important undertaking for the students, faculty and the surrounding community.”
